چکیده
Abstract A theoretical study of electron scattering by a thermal mixture glycine molecules in the energy range from 1 to 10 eV is performed using UK-RMol codes which are based on R-Matrix method. The six lowest relative Gibbs free energies conformers considered, Ip, IIp, IIn, IIIp, IIIn and IVn, significantly populated mixtures. All these present similar resonance structures eigenphase sums: lower-energy state near 1.8 another at higher-energy above 7 eV. For lies between 1.75 2.21 very large dipole moments 6.32 D 5.67 for IIp respectively, makes magnitude their cross sections larger than other conformers, increases average mixtures compared with Ip conformer. Three conformer population sets used calculate averaged differential integral sections: two set that aims mimic experiment observed populations. all sets, but differ section. This suggests that, flexible molecules, computed should be when comparing experimental data.

متن کاملElastic electron scattering by ethylene, C2H4
As a prototypical polyatomic molecule, ethylene, C2H4, has been of interest from the earliest days of electronmolecule collision studies 1 and has continued to attract interest up to the present 2 . Recent careful and detailed measurements 3 of the low-energy elastic differential cross section DCS pose a challenge to theory, exhibiting features that have not been reproduced in high-level calcul...
متن کاملLow - energy elastic electron scattering by acetylene
Acetylene, C2H2, is a prototypical molecule in several respects. As a readily available gas and one of the smallest and most symmetric polyatomic molecules, it is amenable to both experimental and computational study. It is the smallest member of the important family of unsaturated hydrocarbons and is isoelectronic with N2, having in common with those molecules both a bonding πu orbital and an ...
متن کاملMeasurement of electron-neutrino electron elastic scattering
The cross section for the elastic scattering reaction νe + e − → νe + e was measured by the Liquid Scintillator Neutrino Detector using a μ decay-at-rest νe beam at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center. The standard model of electroweak physics predicts a large destructive interference between the charge current and neutral current channels for this reaction. The measured cross section, σνee− ...
